I am torn, friends. I spent an entirely delightful afternoon reading this fic and, yeah. *happy sigh*

Now I must decide what to do next.

Do I do workstuffs and set this bitch up? (Yeah, two replies is totally enough for me! OMFG YOU GUYS I REQUIRE SO LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT IT'S EMBARRASSING!!)

Do I try and write more? (the problem with this is all of the people that I subject to my writing process normally audience for me are NOT ON THE CHATS!!)

Do I work my way through this rec list and just glut myself on Dean/Castiel fic?

Do I just sit here and spastically refresh the internets and hop they provide me with something more amusing? I JUST DON'T KNOW!!!

In other news, am I the only one who thinks that Wonderwall is the quintessetial Dean/Castiel song? I mean, c'mon:

Well, Castiel is actually inhabiting the mortal body of a devout man. So, yeah, he has all of the necessary equipment. I haven't actually read a bunch of fic yet, because I just started writing so, I do have some things I am unsure of.

The thing is, on the show, Castiel is clearly very in love with Dean. Okay, ymmv on the in love part, but basically in that clip, Castiel chooses helping Dean over heaven's plans, so, yeah. Canon-wise, he's pretty heavily invested in Dean's happiness for someone who is not supposed to feel anything.

So, I guess my issue is, yeah, he is totally in love with Dean, but he is an angel and its so epic and big that I think porny fic has to be done with a very deft hand. Castiel isn't disobeying heaven because Dean's pretty, y'know?

And Dean. Dean has been chosen by heaven (he was in hell at the end of last season and Castiel rescued him from hell at the beginning of this season and Dean has a brand of Castiel's hand print on his shoulder!!!) and he has all of these issues about not being worthy and why would God have chosen him and he is so lovely and angsty and *flaps*!!!

*coughs* Sorry. I just love them so much. They do things to me!!

Ooooh, that does sound wonderfully epic. I like the brand of Castiel's hand. That's a very nice touch. TPTB of that show clearly love fangirls!!! :D

So, back to the sex, when you say a deft hand, are you saying that the basis for the sex would absolutely have to be love and not lust?

And how does Dean feel about Castiel?

Yes! He pulled him from hell and left his mark!!! TPTB love us in a very real way. It's actually somewhat absurd. I was telling a friend that SPN is like the refugee show for battered Buffy, Angel, and SV fans. All, "Shhh, it will be okay. Look at what we have made for you, fangirls!!"

Hmmm. It is complicated, because I think at this point Castiel is absolutely devoted to Dean, but Sam is top top #1 in Dean's heart (not even saying this from a Wincest perspective. Just, y'know, wholly who Dean is. He is Sam's big brother and his life is about protecting Sam.)

Castiel is utterly alien in a lot of ways, and Dean absolutely does not trust Team Heaven. But he really wants to trust Castiel (imo) and cares about him more than he wants to admit to himself.

In one of the last episodes of the season, Castiel gets yanked out of his vessel and back to Heaven for a smackdown because he starts caring for Dean too much (canon!). When he gets back in his vessel, he basically tricks Dean into giving his allegiance to the angels. Hence their break-up in the clip.

Their entire storyline has gone through a pretty classic romance arc, actually.

But, yeah. There are some pretty heavy issues wrt dirty porn fic, such as their serious trust issues. Because a relationship built on lies and deceit is doomed to fail!! This is not to mention that there's still another soul bouncing around in the (very pretty!) body Castiel is inhabiting. And also the impending Apocalypse.

I'm seriously sitting here kind of cracking up because the difference between our current fandom obsessions is like...hilarious. Like totally hilarious.

I mean, you're like, "Apocalyptic angst, Rhi!!!! Don't ya want it????" And I'm like, "Happy canonical gleeful joyful pretty boy sex!!! Apocalyptic angst, um, what??"

Sketchy, but not completely unworkable. Castiel can, for example, visit Dean in his dreams (canon!!! they love us so much!!!)
