apetslife has an excellent and helpful post about the most recent malware/trojan/virus infections and how to protect your computer/deal with the infection. As someone who is completely idiotic about such things, I am eternally grateful for people like Pet for providing step-by-step explanations on how to deal with it.
For funsies: If you do not wibble even a little at the adorableness of this, then you may be a robot. It's a possibility.

wincon has begun! I was talking to Kassie about it last night and I am SO EXCITED!!! It is going to be so awesome this year I can't even-- *gleeface* I might do a separate post later about why I love this con so much, but for now I'm just going to do a poll:

I think I'm going to take the entire week off for it this year. Last year I tried to just do the weekend and it was waaaaaaaay too short. I was sad when I had to leave.

And I thought, yeah, this is why I'm a part of this community. ♥ Honestly, I get a little misty-eyed just thinking about it (and whenever I hear that song now, as if it didn't already have emotional impact).

Yeah, the extended weekend should work. I don't think I even did that. I got there Friday night and left Sunday afternoon. Not nearly long enough ffs. I almost cried at the airport when I was leaving. Because I'm a dork.

I wanted to get there a little early to settle and maybe do some sightseeing. I have never been to a big city like Chicago! I AM INTRIGUED. I mean, I've had layovers at the airports there, which does not count at all, even if I did get to buy Chicago souvenirs, so I can't wait to go out in the city and see MOBSTERS! They still have mobsters, right? DON'T SHATTER MY DREAMS.

There are totally mobsters. In fact, the last time I was in Chicago, the city itself tried to kill me. I may have some residual Chicago hate. Wincon might actually be the only thing that would get me to go back there...
