There are really few things in life that can't be made better by bacon

Ha! This morning I finally managed to shut off the smart quotes in Word. Why in five different places, Microsoft? Is that really necessary?

So I was woken-up at 9 a.m. by the UPS guy knocking loudly on my bedroom door (I have a door that opens out onto the front porch, right next to the front door, but it's partially blocked and clearly not the door one should be knocking on). So I get up to investigate and find a package on the porch. For the neighbor. WHAT? Everyone involved in that is now on notice.

But then my roommate made bacon and biscuits and jam for breakfast, so that was good. We live in Tennessee, this is a completely acceptable meal.

I came up with a fannish to-do list for myself yesterday at work, because I was clearly feeling overly ambitious. It is as follows:

♥ fandom version of the sunscreen thing Done!

♥ Sam meta based on the episodes in which Sam is crazy in some form or another (Asylum to When the Levee Breaks to Sam, Interrupted, the similarities and differences in his behavior, etc)

♥ Write a full-length Dean/Sarah fic from this story (which I'm pretty sure is not at all what people were hoping for when they said they wanted more from the 'verse, but I'm kind of in love with the idea...) I think it would work well as a stand-alone, too.

♥ Make a S5 fanmix by assigning a song to each episode. The music I generally listen to is non-mainstream, alt.country, southern, Americana whatever, which lends itself surprisingly well to apocalyptic/religious themes. Go figure. *grins*

♥ Work out some of the logistics to getting started on my spn_j2_bigbang. Totally not freaking out about this yet. *koff*

♥ Answer comments.

I just need to decide on what to do first. Knowing me, it will be the overall least productive of those things. So, fanmix, I'm guessing.

Ah, Saturday. The house smells of bacon, my headache from last night is finally gone and I have the internets and a hot cup of coffee. For the moment, anyway, life is good. ♥♥♥

My roommate and I celebrate National Pie Day EVERY YEAR. This usually results in my roommate making a truly staggering amount of pies and me... eating them. We're keeping it pretty low-key this year, though and going for only 3 pies that I know of -- Shephard's Pie, Pumpkin Pie and (because I begged) Snickers Pie. TODAY IS A GOOD DAY.

That sounds like a fantastic system you've got worked out! I approve!! There's a restaurant near me that has the BEST Shepherd's pie ever! A GOOD DAY INDEED!!!

If I can get over my feeling of general lethargy and type it up, I might email you later with my BB story idea if that's okay? I need input.

I tried to tell my friends of this and they got it confused with Pi day at first (3.14 = 14 March).... Oh well, it's not like having more Pi(e) is a bad thing :)

And back to the point of this entry....

Write a full-length Dean/Sarah fic from this story (which I'm pretty sure is not at all what people were hoping for when they said they wanted more from the 'verse, but I'm kind of in love with the idea...) I think it would work well as a stand-alone, too.

I just read that story (how had I not earlier?), it is awesomeawesomeawesome! And that Dean/Sarah fic would be awesome too :)

Oh man, I'm so excited for everything on this list to occur! You shouldn't have posted it, now I'm just going to be impatient. XD Also ha, that's really funny--my friends and I always celebrate National PI Day (3/14!) by baking pies and stuff, so I thought you were talking about that at first!
