Today I spent nine hours at work putting labels on folders. The project is only 1/2 done. Nothing like feeling as though a poorly trained monkey could do your job. At least it gave me a chance to fantasize plot. Speaking of which, [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang FAQs sez I can't post my story to filtered posts. Ack ack! I shall have to come up with a Plan B.

In other news, Meme! Seen everywhere:

What's surprised you the most about me (if anything) since beginning to read my LJ (or when you met me IRL, for those who have)? Has anything about me been completely unexpected or have I always fit the picture of me you had in your head?

There's a Calvin & Hobbes comic strip which I cannot find at the moment, but the punchline goes something like this:

Calvin: I work better under pressure.

Hobbes: Actually, you work only under pressure.

Calvin: That way the work time is more miserable, but there's less of it.

It resonates. Example: I just spent half an hour looking for said comic strip rather than finishing up the thing I need to do which would take, oh, maybe half an hour if I just did it.

*facepalm*

Wow, the Big Bang people are just getting weirder and weirder with their limitations/requirements. Which is not to say that I don't appreciate all the great fic that comes out of the challenge--I certainly do!!!

Yes! I find this quite vexing indeed!! I mean, I get the reason behind it and all. I'm just pouting about it. *grins*

Wait, I think you can post tiny snippets in filters? Just not like, the whole thing. I think? Unless the rules have changed? NOOOOOOES.

And I don't think you've surprised me yet! Except maybe in that way where your writing just seems always BETTER. Which I find selfishly pleasing. I am not good at this gaaaaame.

I have been surprised (pleasantly so!) by your mentions of astrology! I don't know why, I just didn't know you liked it when we became lj friends. :D But it's awesome.

Yay! That makes me happy!! My interest in astrology is fairly recent because I never identified with the generic Aries descriptions I'd read. Then I read this book (http://www.amazon.com/Linda-Goodmans-Sun-Signs-Goodman/dp/0553278827/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1263949021&sr=1-1) which is somewhat antiquated in its language, but otherwise eerily accurate. I then had to rethink my stance on the astrology thing (I don't think it's good as a predictive thing, but excellent as a descriptive one).

Anyway, yeah, the more I learn about it, the more I find the whole subject completely fascinating.
