I choose to believe that Dean Fucking Winchester shines like a beacon of TWU WUV to Castiel's enhanced angel senses, but then I would.

SRSLY, that's a good question. If he can still sense them, that's permeated with text-slash in and of itself, IMHO. OR! Perhaps that brand is a homing beacon, kind of like we all (read I) hope it is. Oh Kripke. You really do love us.

This is entirely possible. Also? Pretty fucking badass that he can carve this (http://www.hermetic.com/browe-archive/images/image3.gif) on their ribs in like 2.5 seconds. But I was thinking about the handprint. That perhaps it would override the protective magics. Sort of like thaumaturgy. Where people can have all kinds of shields layered all over the place, but if you have a piece of them, you can slip past the barriers?

I'm gonna guess yes, he did, although not unwittingly. Also, this is probably going to lead to a lot of, er, missed connections this season I'm guessing. Just to make it harder on EVERYONE, thanks, Kripke.
