• The episode of Scrubs with Colin Farrell is one of my all-time favorite things ever.

• I have gotten to the beginning of the Luke/Lorelai romance in my Gilmore Girls rewatch. I don't think I can overstate how much I love them together, especially in the beginning. There's just something about the way he watches her, with this smile like he can't believe how lucky he is, but also a little bit pleased/smug at how she responds to him and it's so sexy and HOT and glorious glorious payoff after seasons of UST and build-up. *___* I don't think I've ever felt so betrayed by a show as when they fucked that all up. (I probably won't rewatch S6 and S7...)

• Related to the above - I think I had a dream that Luke was my boyfriend (and/or I was Lorelai). It was pretty awesome, ngl.

• I have had an earache for the past day and a half, which is not awesome. I spent half the evening last night with the heating pad on it, but really, there's not much that I know to do. *pouts* It makes me grumpy.

• Oh! Oh! You know what else I love? What Not to Wear!! It is so awesome and fantastic and Stacy and Clinton are hilarious and sarcastic, but you can tell that they really want to empower people and it makes me all ♥___♥ Sometimes it makes me cry and/or smile a lot.

• Is it possible to get porned out?

• A friend came over Thursday night, and we watched Inception (FINALLY, okay?). It was conceptually awesome and visually very cool. I don't foresee myself becoming fannishly interested in it, but it was very enjoyable.

Okay, I think that's it for now. I need more coffee...

I agree with you about Luke and Lorelei. The beginning of their relationship was really beautiful written/acted.

It really, really was!! It's one of the best TV romances I've ever seen, where the UST and stuff keeping them apart was believable. And their friendship was realistic and you could tell that they cared about each other, so when they got together it was so cute and hot and satisfying!!

The mistake was in thinking that after five seasons, they couldn't just let them be happy together and all the drama after that was so ridiculous and manufactured and awful, it still makes me angry years later. *is bitter*

It was very cool! I have a feeling that, were it a tv show, I would be fannish as hell about it. But as it is, I'm happy to leave it at, "Cool movie." But I have trouble getting into movie fandoms in general. I like to have a little more canon to play with.

Definitely possible to get porned out. I wrote a 5 Times Public Sex set of stories, and wrote the rough draft of them all within about 24 hours. I was so porned out that it took me about three months after that to, one at a time, polish the rough drafts to post. I was just all...ugh. TOO MUCH PORN.

Scrubs was the most ridiculously awesome thing ever! The Colin Farrell ep was particularly good, I have to say. They should reallly have left it at season 8, with the gorgeous finale and everything, and not done season 9. ( I did, however, have a sneaking fondness for Cole).

Ohnoes! S6 and 7 are the bad times, wasn't that when they fucked up Rory too? What with all the leaving Yale, and stealing yachts and what not. Plus ,it has more Logan, whom I think I loathe only a little less than Jess.

Yeah, I lurked in the Inception fandom a while back, then kind of drifted away, I think its just hard to properly invest in characters you've only seen for two hours once the movie's over, no matter how intriguing and awesome they are.

Right? I LOVE Scrubs!! I actually thought the spin-off was pretty funny. JD was never my favorite, so I was okay with him leaving after the first few episodes.

YES!! Though I think Rory got steadily more obnoxious and Mary-Sueish as the series progressed. I had ~issues~ with how she treated Dean. OTOH, I didn't actually mind Logan. I like that he didn't immediately fall in love with Rory upon their first meeting. Ummm, I have some issues about this, clearly.

Ah yes that was is one redeeming feature, actually I don't know, I used to like Logan before he proposed, it's weird, it just rubbed me up the wrong way I guess, I'm sure normal people thought it was a very romantic thing to do. As for the falling in love at first sight, I have isuues with that too, especially in movies where it's glaringly obvious.

I would!! I think overall it was an excellent series. Good characters and emotional resonance, etc. I do think Rory tends to be fairly Mary Sueish, which can be obnoxious, but the rest of it outweighs that IMO. Also, I love Lauren Graham! She's one of those actresses that can make me cry every time she does. Plus, wee baby Padalecki!! He's so cute!!!

Much as I would prefer to talk about porn, I'm here to comment on the earache. If you find yourself getting nauseated, see your doctor right away. Avoiding TMI, let me just say I ended up hospitalized for a week on IV meds because I ignored an earache thinking it would just go away. Hopefully yours really WILL just go away, but if it doesn't, go directly to your doctor, do not pass Go.

Oh, and I'm relieved to learn I'm not the only person not to react fannishly to Inception. It was a wonderful film, intriguing and inventive, but it did not leave me with a burning desire to slash the characters, and I was beginning to think I was alone in that!

It seems to have gone away, luckily. I had a really bad sinus infection a few years ago, and I've gotten periodic earaches since then. So that kind of sucks.

You're not alone!!! I think if it were a TV series based on the same premise, I'd be all over it. I just can't seem to get that emotionally invested in a movie, though.

Since I'm also all porned/unicorn cracked out I would like to recommend a fix for that earache... if you have sinusitis or the beginning of head cold, get some Ear Pain Relief drops from your local walgreens or pharmacy something with natural ingredients that won't aggravate allergies.

Luke was my fav thing about GG and I loved when they got together and then they screwed everything up and I quit watching the show.
What Not To Wear - they are such bitches and such total dorks and I love them. The DVR didn't pick up the new episodes - but it's okay, we have the Tivo now, all is right in the world.
Yes, I think it is. I find myself skipping over the porn scenes a lot more in fics and just going for the plot and did I just admit that out loud?

Hope the earache is better.
